Jill Kafka

As director of the Partnership’s administrative team as well as of the six Partnership network schools, Jill is responsible for the Partnership’s mission and objectives. She ensures that her office and the schools work effectively together to raise student achievement levels and provide a life changing education.  Jill also oversees the collaboration of her organization with the Archdiocese of New York and along with the support of the Partnership Board of Trustees is responsible for leveraging the network model.

Before heading the Partnership in 2010, she was Executive Director of the Patrons Program, established in 1987, which she joined 1997 as Deputy Director.  She became Executive Director in May of 2001. Under her direction, annual funds raised grew from $4.2 million in 2001 to a peak of $9.4 million in 2008.  As an “adopt-a-school” organization, the Patrons Program recruited donors to improve education and expand the curricula at more than 30 Catholic inner-city elementary schools in Manhattan, the Bronx and Staten Island.  
 
Prior to joining the Patrons Program, Jill was a Partner and Senior Vice President of Sales at Arbour Financial Corporation and specialized in mortgage-backed securities, a Vice President of Sales at Goldman Sachs, and a mortgage-backed securities trader at Drexel Burnham Lambert.  She began her career at Andersen Consulting. She is a graduate of Cornell University’s College of Engineering with a B.S. in Computer Science.
