True to its tradition of serving the East Harlem Community for over 120 years, Our Lady Queen of Angels School (OLQA) provides its students with a high quality, well-rounded education, rooted in Gospel values and attentive to individual differences.
Founded in 1892—and visited by Pope Francis in 2015—OLQA serves 298 students in Pre-K through 8th grade. 69% of our students are Hispanic, 22% are African American. 71% are Catholic. We offer a high school placement program for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade families. Our after-school programs run until 6pm for all grades. Over 70% of our students receive scholarships.

Principal: Stephanie Becker
Ms. Stephanie Becker is a dedicated and faithful Catholic school teacher and leader. She is an alum of the University of Notre Dame’s highly selective Alliance for Catholic Education Remick Leadership Program from which she graduated in 2015 with a M.Ed. in Leadership. Ms. Becker also holds a M.S. in Education and Teaching Math from St. John’s University, from which she also received her bachelor’s degree. She was a teacher and leader at Notre Dame School, a Catholic high school in Manhattan before joining Mt. Carmel-Holy Rosary School, another Partnership School in Harlem, to serve as Academic Dean.
Ms. Becker has served as principal of OLQA since 2017.
