Principal, St. Athanasius
Ms. Kraft came to St. Athanasius in 1972 as a Language Arts teacher and in 1989 became the St. Athanasius school principal. She has an undergraduate degree in English from the College of Mount Saint Vincent, a M.A. degree in Teaching Secondary English from Hunter College, and a Certificate in Administration from Manhattan College. In 2001, she received the Educator of the Year award from Fordham University in recognition of her school leadership. In 2004 she collaborated with the St. Athanasius faculty on action plans for Middle States Accreditation. Ms. Kraft considers it a privilege to work with her dedicated and compassionate St. Athanasius staff to provide a safe, nurturing, learning environment for the children of Hunts Point.
